Wild Memories: Refreshing, Mountain Stream

Every so often I like to post a Wild Memory that recently came to mind.  This time, its of a gorgeous location in the Lake District that I visited back on the 8th July 2013.  While in this photo the sheep is having a refreshing drink, once the sheep had left, we spent some time paddling and refreshing ourselves in this cold, gurgling mountain stream (well, it was gurgling just behind me taking this photo has it tumbled down some little waterfalls and opened out into this lovely little ford).  I forget it’s name, but it is was near the end of a long walk where we climbed up Skiddaw and came back down round the fells.  I remember it was bright sunshine at this point and we got very hot.  That was a lovely day.
